PermeGear In-Line Automated Systems

Very similar to Crown Glass Company's TDC-25 System, PermeGear's ILC14 Automated System incorporates (14) In-Line Cells, a peristaltic pump, a fraction collector, a heater/recirculator and an Indexing Controller into a versatile system for analyzing flux over time. Our Indexing Controller permits the user to collect nine samples of up to 8 hours in duration from all the In-Line Cells simultaneously. Each sampling time may be programmed independently of the Isco Retriever IV fraction collector. Nineteen samples may be collected if only 7 cells are used. Collection vials are at the option of the user, racks for 20ml 28mm diameter scintillation vials are provided. Adapters are available to allow the use of many different vials including the popular 4ml WISP vials. Because of the varied requirements of individual users, vials ARE NOT supplied by PermeGear.

All PermeGear automated diffusion cell systems are based on the continuous flow principle. A multi-channel peristaltic pump draws receptor solution from a reservoir through a distribution manifold and sends it to diffusion cells. The diffusion cells are usually warmed to 35?37튏 by a heater/circulator or heated aluminum block. After filling the receptor chambers of the cells and purging the system of bubbles, the subject compound is then placed in the donor chambers of the cells. From that time, the fluid is collected in the vials of a fraction collector at user set time intervals. The vials are taken for analysis manually after the sampling time has elapsed.

If you are already using a Crown system with a Retriever IV fraction collector, consider adding our Indexing Controller to your system to enable you to independently program the duration of each shuttle.
