The Trillium 40 is a  multi-purpose broadband seismometer intended for both field portable and permanent observatory installations. Its long period response suits most teleseismic applications including receiver function studies, splitting analysis and tomography. Trillium's extended response at higher frequencies make it equally suitable for local and regional seismic studies; field portable and permanent observatory installations.
