 Irradiated Food Screening System ( SURRC Pulsed PSL System, PPSL )
PSL measurements are made using a pulsed PSL “Irradiated food screening system” (SURRC, Glasgow, UK). Samples should be prepared, handled and measured under subdued light.

Photostimulated luminescence (PSL) measurement, DNA comet assay, electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy and thermoluminescence (TL) measurement are applied to identify irradiated food.
